Pressure to Liquid Level Calculator

Calculate liquid height from pressure measurements using the hydrostatic pressure formula

Formula
h = P / (ρ0·SG·g)

h = Liquid height (m)

P = Pressure

ρ0 = Reference density (1000 kg/m³ for water)

SG = Specific gravity

g = Acceleration due to gravity (m/s²)

Water = 1.0, typical range: 0.5 - 2.0

Standard gravity = 9.80665 m/s²

About This Calculator

This calculator uses the hydrostatic pressure formula to determine liquid height based on pressure measurements. It's particularly useful for tank level monitoring, process control, and various industrial applications where pressure sensors are used to measure liquid levels.

How to Use

  1. Enter the pressure reading from your sensor
  2. Select the appropriate pressure unit
  3. Enter the specific gravity of your liquid (1.0 for water)
  4. Adjust gravity if needed (standard is 9.80665 m/s²)
  5. Click Calculate to see the liquid height in meters
